Our Jedi Forces have reported that Darth Voldemort, Lord of the Dominion, Agent of the Hellmouth seems to have recruited a group of mercenaries for his personal bodyguard. Said mercenaries were reported to wear only white sandos, black boxers, and white helmets....
We have instructed our teams to try to determine the identity of the mysterious band of mercenaries. But until now, no further reports have come in.... Hopefully our masters and padawans have not been recruited to the dark side....
On a more hopeful note, one of our Masters thinks he has finally found The Chosen One. I initially did not believe him, but I've seen the boy myself, and all I can say is that... the Force truly is strong in him.
Meanwhile, Master Yoda insists that a person by the name of Denethor has tried to get in touch with him. But it's taking so darned long trying to find out who this Denethor really is. All Master Yoda knows is that this Denethor has taken to lighting SOS beacons, and keeps saying "Gondor is under siege". Mistress Jocasta Nu thinks that Master Yoda was mistaken. There is no Gondor. But The Chosen One whispered to me last night that he thinks records on Gondor were erased from our Archives. But who could've done it? Could it be Darth Voldemort?
OOC: Kudos to the webmaster of our beautiful website!!! Worthy of the 24th century!
IC: Looks like Darth Voldemort is back to terrorize the Alpha Quadrant. We thought the Coalition Forces on Earth had already captured him, but it turns out it was a decoy. More details will come as the Starfleet investigators start to report in. Until then, I think I'll have an Earl Grey... no wait, Coffee Black... no.... Coke nalang.
Computer, end blog...

Star Wars Philippines, the premiere Star Wars fan organization in the country, brings to you a one-of-a kind rogues' party never before seen in the local bar scene. The event, dubbed MOS EISLEY NIGHT, is a celebration of the greatest sci-fi movie franchise of all time, and what better way to do it than to pay homage to the aliens' cantina featured in the first installment of the original trilogy?
Activities for MOS EISLEY NIGHT will include film showings of fan-made Star Wars movies; art exhibits; cosplays; games; and performances from the most exciting young bands today--members of which happen to be avid Star Wars fans also.
Star Wars merchandise will also be raffled off during the event. Mos Eisley Night will be held on August 31, 5PM at Millennia Cafe (located along Kamuning Road, QC). Performers include Itchyworms, Narda, The Purplechickens, The Late Isabel, Death Star Cookies, Fish Trio, Doh'Ahou and the most titillating Stormtroopers to hit the convention circuit, the STORMBALLS.

The Manila Times ran an article on New Worlds yesterday.
Choose your own World By Karl R. de Mesa It's a coming of age, they say, for an event to be held in honor of a particular fandom. For those who make the consensus, it is a realization that there is an actual demographic that occupies a heretofore overlooked market. For the fan, it has one very positive consequence: the discovery that he is not alone.
